What is Claude Code, and how can a business use it?

Short answer
Claude Code is Anthropic's AI coding agent. You describe what you want in plain English, and it reads the project, writes and edits code, runs commands and checks its own work. Businesses use it to build automations, scrapers, internal tools and integrations far faster than writing code by hand, with a person reviewing what it builds before it goes live.
What it can do
- •Build automations: scripts that move data between tools, clean records or send reports.
- •Connect tools: integrations through APIs and, via MCP, with services such as Supabase, Apify and Clay.
- •Fix and extend: read existing code, find a bug and propose a fix.
- •Follow house rules: a project file sets your conventions, so it works the same way every time.
Where it runs
Claude Code works in the terminal, in editors such as VS Code and JetBrains, in a desktop app and on the web, so it fits however a team already works.
How Plux Labs uses it
Plux Labs builds client systems with Claude Code, including the GTM agent and the content operating system shown in the walkthroughs on the Resources page. Every system is documented, so the code stays readable and maintainable after handover.
What stays human
Deciding what to build, reviewing changes before they go live and anything that touches customer data or money. Claude Code is fast, but speed without review is how small mistakes reach real customers.
